Certified Facilitative Mediators Association (CFMA) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to:
- Promotion of mediation as a profession
- Fostering the use of facilitative mediation as an empowering alternative to dispute resolution
Serving members throughout Montana, CFMA provides communities across the state with access to the highest quality mediators, bound by a code of professional standards and practice and held accountable for their work.
Promotion
CFMA will tirelessly promote the benefits of mediation to individuals and communities across the state by
- Educating the public via local events
- Advocating to community organizations and governmental agencies
- Promoting low barrier and equal access opportunities to engage
Certification
CFMA promises to hold members to the highest quality standards of mediation by
- Certifying only the most qualified mediators as members
- Offering comprehensive training for those seeking to enter the profession
- Providing continuing education opportunities to advance the profession and maintain certifications
